Tim Raley is the Managing Director of TriStar Cremation.
Tim’s first experience in funeral service was in 1967 as an ambulance attendant at Pettus-Owen & Wood Funeral Home, that was located in West Nashville.
A native Nashvillian Tim grew up in West Nashville, and graduated from Cohn High School in 1969. he attended Middle Tennessee State University and Free Will Baptist Bible College.
For more that 15 years Tim and his brother operated a candle making shop at the Opryland theme park.
In 1996 after the death of his wife, Tim wanted to help others by sharing with them the benefits of advanced funeral planning. He worked in a number of funeral homes in the Nashville area.
Tim served an apprenticeship and successfully passed the State Board Examinations, and earned his Funeral Director’s license in 2006.
The funeral homes that Tim worked had been acquired by large out of state corporations, and as these corporations began to grow, and their focus seemed to shift from helping families to growing profits. Tim decided that if he was to stay in funeral service, he wanted to be associated with a family owned company. In 2010 he went to work with the Murphy Brothers at Music City Mortuary.
Our company has experienced a tremendous level of growth, and when the opportunity the open the new TriStar Cremation facility presented itself, Tim was asked to head the new location.
He brings with him the same conviction, as our company holds, and that is that we are a product of the public’s demands. Tim will always put the best interests and wishes of the families we serve, first.
