Ny Crowder

April 19, 1939 — December 20, 2020

Danny (Dan) Lynn Crowder went home to Jesus on December 20th, 2020 at the age of 81.
Dan was born to Ella Mae Carr and Floyd Homer Crowder on April 19th, 1939 in Tremble, Tennessee. Shortly after his
birth, the family moved to Sarasota, Florida where he spent most of his childhood.
Dan Crowder proudly served in the US Army from 1961 through 1967. He attended Young Harris College where he
majored in Business. He married Beverly Gail Bruce on February 4th, 1967 in Central City, Kentucky. They had a son,
Bruce, and a daughter, Kelly. He worked in the flooring industry and owned his own hardware store for many years.
After marriage, his family lived in Atlanta, Georgia; Upland, California; Dalton, Georgia; New Port Richey, Florida, Lake
City, Florida; and Tallahassee, Florida. After losing his wife in 2012, he lived with his children in Pell City, Alabama, and
most recently moved to Ellijay, Georgia.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving father and grandfather, he enjoyed fishing above all other hobbies.
Throughout his life he held an unwavering faith in God and Jesus Christ, which he shared with all those he met. He was
honored to be a Gideon and a Deacon in several Southern Baptist Churches. One of Dan's favorite verses from the Bible
was Matthew 4:4, "But Jesus replied, It is written and forever remains written, MAN SHALL NOT LIVE BY BREAD ALONE,
BUT BY EVERY WORD THAT COMES OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD." Dan Crowder was a strong Christian and faithful
servant of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Dan, affectionately known as ‘Big', joins his parents, his wife, Gail (GiGi), and his grandson, Joshua, in Heaven. He is
survived by his son, Bruce (Melanie) Crowder and their daughter Annika, as well as his daughter Kelly (Glen) Seay and
their children Luke, Lawson, and Lillian. He is also survived by his brothers Terry (Toni) and Gary and his sisters, Judy,
Donna, Carol (Greg), Joyce (Chris), and Recheane (Jay).
