Susan Mumford Yarbrough, 67, died at her home in Hendersonville TN on the morning of Tuesday, September 4, 2018 after a brief illness.
She was born on September 26, 1950 in Jackson to Dr. Howard Mumford and Lucille (Wisdom) Mumford. She was a 1968 graduate of Bolivar Central High School. She married Paul Bailey Yarbrough on July 6, 1968.
Susan spent most of her working career in office administration, most recently with H&M Industrial in Jackson, TN.
Susan was an avid lover of animals . She especially loved dogs and rescued and fostered many dogs and birds over the course of her lifetime. She also loved church hymns and enjoyed singing and playing them on the piano.
Susan is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Paul; her son, Ben Yarbrough (Angela) of Hendersonville, and daughters Evelyn "Lindy" Whitcomb (Robert) of Hendersonville and Jennifer Y. Jones of Bolivar; her grandchildren, Kelsey Y. Ellis (Eddie) of Virginia Beach, VA; Benjamin and Emma Yarbrough of Hendersonville; Cailey Jones of Clarksville; and Olivia Jones of Bolivar. She is also survived by her siblings, Howard "Jake" Mumford (Diane) of Middleton and Cathy Shelton of Brownsville.
