Shannon Brooks

Ms. Shannon Walker Brooks went to be with Jesus unexpectedly in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at the age of 65.
Shannon is survived by her sons, Rev. Jeremy Brooks of Nashville, TN, and Joseph (Jennifer) Brooks of Midwest City, OK; her grandchildren: Alexis and Amber; her siblings: Kathy Tyson, Diane (Melvin) Rogers, and Cliff (Debbie) Moore, Jr; and her two Maltipoos, Molly Beth and Teddy Beau. She is preceded in death by her parents, James Lester Walker of Phenix City, AL, and Mamie Moore, of Columbus, GA.
Shannon was born on March 23, 1952 in Phenix City, AL. She graduated from Jordan Vocational High School (Columbus, GA) in 1970. Shannon made Nashville her home since 2005 and dedicated her time to supporting various ministries. She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and demonstrated her strong faith and love for others through her commitment to serving the Body of Christ, including as a prayer partner.
A memorial service is scheduled for 6:00-8:00 PM on December 20, 2017 at Belmont Mansion in Nashville, TN. A second memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 6th, 2018 at Edgewood Assembly of God in Columbus, GA. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Shannon’s life.
