MT. JULIET – Surrounded by his family, Ron Taylor, age 74, passed away Wednesday,
November 11. A lifelong resident and native of Tennessee, he was born to the late Joe and
Agnes Taylor in Knoxville. He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 47 years Paula (Meek),
their children Joel (Marsha) Taylor and Kathleen (Charles) Eastman, and four adored grandsons.
After graduating from Carson-Newman College in 1968, Ron proudly served his country as part
of the United States Army, completing a tour of duty in the Vietnam War. He later graduated
with a master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Tennessee. Ron was a
loyal and faithful Christian, husband, father, and colleague. He retired as the Executive Director
of the Tennessee Health Care Association, after serving the members and facilities for over 30
years. With a consistent heart of servanthood, he was an active member of The Church of the
Advent Episcopal as well as a volunteer at several Nashville area food pantries.
A small service will be held at the Church of the Advent at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Ron
