Nashville – On July 18, 2022, Rob, 67, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ after a serious battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born May 7, 1955, in Oskaloosa, IA.  The son of Gradus John and Norma Arlene (Watson) Den Adel. He graduated from Oskaloosa High School where he enjoyed his time as “Band of the 70’S” Field Director and Indian Hills Community College achieving an AAS.  As an electrical technician he immediately went to work for Union Carbide in Centerville, IA.  He worked in the plastic packaging industry for most of his career in positions of Maintenance Manager, Press Area Manager, Artwork Services Manager, Graphic Manager, Operations Manager, and Process Engineering Manager.  He enjoyed working at Cracker Barrel in the gift shop part-time in his early retirement.
He was active in his service of the Lord through Men’s Bible studies, leading others to Christ, Worship leader, and was a friend to many through the love of Christ.
He was predeceased by his parents, an older sister Melody Anne who died at birth and a child lost in miscarriage.
He was married to Cynthia Mott in 1975.   They had a daughter, Angela Dawn and later divorced.  He married Terry McKechnie in 1980 and they had 3 children.
Rob is survived by his wife, Terry of 42 years, brother Randy and his wife Diane of Ames, IA; two daughters and two sons.  Angie Sacks of Rose Hill, PA (widowed), John and wife Mattie of Nashville, TN, Scott and wife Carrie of Inglewood, CA. and Jenny Den Adel of Nashville, TN.; 11 Grandchildren:  Noah, Eva, Skylar, and Josie Sacks of PA; beloved step granddaughters Bella, Naomi and Abby Sanchez, Olive and Aaron Den Adel, of TN; Cecily and Tristan Den Adel of CA.  Many nieces and nephews all across the states and many treasured friends of a lifetime.
Rob loved his family deeply.  He prayed for them daily, supported their goals and celebrated their accomplishments.
We would like to thank Alive Hospice for their services and the kindness they showed to the whole family.
A Remembrance Time will be held on July 28, 2022 at Lake Shore Christian Church in Antioch, TN from 4-6pm for those wishing to have a visit time with family.
There will be a Celebration of Life at a later time when family can get back together.
