Robert "Bobby" Golden

Bobby Golden, beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2024, at the age of 71. Born on December 3, 1952, Bobby lived a life filled with love, passion, and service to others.

 In 1995, Bobby married the love of his life, Jeanne, with whom he shared 29 years of unwavering companionship and devotion. Together, they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished memories. Bobby was a proud father to his son, Matt, whom he cherished dearly. He nurtured Matt with boundless love, guidance, and support, instilling in him the values of integrity, perseverance, and compassion.

Professionally, Bobby dedicated 43 years of his life to Metro Water Services, where he served with distinction and commitment until his retirement in 2011. His dedication to his work and his colleagues left an indelible mark on the organization and the community it served.

Outside of his professional life, Bobby found joy and fulfillment in woodworking in his shop. His craftsmanship was a reflection of his meticulous attention to detail and his passion for creating beautiful pieces that would be cherished for generations to come.

After retiring, Bobby and Jeanne enjoyed exploring new horizons together. They embarked on road trips to various National Parks including the Grand Canyon, Mount Rushmore, and Yellowstone, savoring the beauty of nature. Additionally, they took leisurely visits to landmarks like the Hoover Dam and Orlando, FL. Their shared love for travel extended to serene cruises to destinations such as Alaska, Hawaii, the Bahamas, and Jamaica, where they cherished each moment of relaxation and discovery.

Bobby will be remembered for his contagious smile, his gentle spirit, his kind heart, and his unwavering devotion to his family and friends. His legacy of love, integrity, and service will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne, his son, Matt (Aron), grandchildren Robbie and Ellie, brother Charles (Judy), sister Sherry Giles, and a host of relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. Though he may be gone from our sight, his memory will live on in our hearts forever.
