Frances O. Cunningham

On Thursday, January 18, 2024, Frances Cunningham, 96, of Mount Juliet, TN, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She attended World Outreach Church in Murfreesboro, TN. Frances was born in Charleston, WV on September 12, 1927. She graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School in 1945 and worked as a department store cashier in Charleston. Frances loved watching sports, especially football and golf.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Thomas Cunningham. They lived 25 retirement years in Melbourne, FL, where they were active in their community’s activities.

Frances is survived by three children: daughter Janice Shea (Bernard Victor) of St. Petersburg, FL, daughter Francie Combs Thomas (Ron Thomas) of Statesville, NC, and son Thomas Cunningham (Diane) of Mount Juliet, TN. She leaves 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by special friend and caregiver, Lisa Hunt.

A memorial service will be held at a future date in NC where she will join her husband, Thomas, at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC.
