Damion Hart

Damion Paul Hart, born October 17, 1972, died Monday, December 24 from injuries sustained in a car accident in Murfreesboro, Tennessee where he resided. He was a gifted musician, thoughtful lover of philosophy as well as the mysteries of computer code and programming, and a devoted husband to his wife Ashley and father to son Elijah. While still in high school he was the youngest member invited to play in the Johnson City Symphony Orchestra. He graduated from Science Hill High School in 1990, studied at the University of Memphis on a full music scholarship, worked for ten years at Fujitsu America Inc. in Memphis, continued to love and create music, and was at the time of his death programming for A.C.E. in Hendersonville, TN. He is survived by his loving wife, Ashley Michelle Brown Hart, Murfreesboro, TN, and family, his son Elijah Alexander Hart, Queensland, Australia, his paternal grandmother Theda Ruffner Hart, Knoxville, TN, his father Donald R. Hart and his wife Sherry A. Hart, Butler, TN, his mother, Rebecca Hodge Hart, Jonesborough, TN, brothers David T. Hart and his wife Melanie and Daniel R. Hart and his wife Amy, all of Jonesborough, TN sister Angela (Angel) Sands and husband Rick New Market, TN, and numerous family members, including uncles and aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, Godparents, band mates, friends, and co-workers, all who will miss his quick wit and mischievous smile. A memorial service will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 500 North Roan St., Johnson City, Tennessee on Saturday, January 12, 2019 with receiving of friends at 3:00 pm, and service at 4:00 pm., the Rev. Margaret K. Zeller officiating.
