Corinne Margolies

Corinne (Connie) Margolies September 28, 1937 – December 21, 2022

Connie Margolies, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend, passed away on Wednesday, December 21 from long COVID and dementia.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Herb Margolies. She is survived by a very large and loving family including daughter Eva Margolies, son and daughter-in-law Gene and Laura Margolies, son Steven Margolies, and son and daughter-in-law Mark and Kerry Margolies. Granddaughters include Julie Margolies, Jessica and husband Luke Hoffman, Samantha and husband Matt Storch, and Bonnie Margolies; as well as three great-grandchildren, Margot and Cora Hoffman and Hannah Storch; and great grandson, Aiden, expected in January 2023. She was also Aunt Connie to many nephews and nieces.

Connie loved fiercely and was a huge supporter of her family. She enjoyed spending time with them, especially playing board games including Rummikub, Phase Ten, Monopoly and Scrabble. She was always the hostess with the mostest, making sure everyone was well fed with both food and belly laughs. She never took herself too seriously and always had a story to tell about something hilarious that happened to her. Her grandchildren always said she made the best cheese eggs.

Connie was born in Miami, Florida where she met her husband Herb. They had a long and happy marriage that lasted 61 years until his death in May, 2018. She primarily worked as a homemaker, raising her 4 children. She also helped out with her husband’s insurance business. In retirement, she lived in Summit Greens in Clermont, Florida, an active living senior community where she enjoyed many community activities.

Connie will be missed so much by so many. A memorial service will be held for her in the future. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Dementia Society of America.
