Charles Fields

Franklin, TN.Charles "Danny" Fields, Age 72 passed away on Friday, February 15th after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles "Bud" and Mildred Jackson Fields, sister Sherry Fields Cole and niece Lorie Coss Baker. Survived by wife, Anita Baker Fields, daughters Dana (Bond) Oman and Amy Haymond, and 5 grandchildren, Sloan Fields Oman, Connor Stirton Oman, Jackson Edward Haymond, Caroline Grace Oman and Elizabeth Marie Haymond. Danny loved his family and was known affectionately as Papa.Danny was a former vice president of Data Cash Register in Nashville and a Shoney's restaurant franchisee in Pennsylvania. He was an avid golfer. He organized many golf trips and enjoyed playing in tournaments with his work colleagues and friends. Danny spent many years volunteering at The Little Course in Franklin. He loved encouraging beginning golfers. The family plans to honor Danny's memory with a private graveside service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. We wish to thank his many excellent caregivers at The Maristone of Franklin, Encompass Home Heath and Kim Eakes.In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Tennessee Golf Foundation, Located at Golf House Tennessee, 400 Franklin Road, Franklin, TN 37069.
